A Record Player that plays a Tree Trunk
Bartholomäus' artwork Years is a converted record player that can play cross-sectional slices of wood taken from a tree trunk then player takes the data from a PlayStation Eye Camera and a stepper motor attached to the control arm, and passes it to a PC. There the data goes into Ableton Live, where the program generates a haunting piano track.
